1918, Agha Ashurov issues Order 33
While Minister in the government of the independent Azerbaijan (1918-1920), Agha Ashurov signed this order which created the border and customs posts between Azerbaijan and Georgia. Agha issued many such orders, this the family is in possession of this orginal

One of the most remarkable members of this storied family; hugely successful and resilient

Later awarded the title 'Honoured Engineer of Azerbaijan' by the Azeri government, Azar Malikov later became a succcessful international oil executive & entrepreneur. He was instrumental in rebuilding the family fortunes in the post-Soviet era
